General Manager

Access All Areas is recruiting for an enthusiastic, proactive and organised General Manager. This is a varied role, and you’ll work primarily in three areas: operations and administration, finance and marketing.

This role will see you work closely with the Executive Director and other members of the team on the day-to-day operations and management of the company, helping to promote ways of staff working that are efficient, sustainable and support wellbeing.

Salary: £27,000 - £29,000 per annum

Employment type: Full-time, permanent contract

Creative and Technical Volunteers

Access All Areas is looking for creative and technical volunteers to assist on two projects in east London in Spring 2019:

Performance Company

Access All Areas runs weekly professional development classes on Wednesday evenings in Hoxton for their twelve-strong performance company.

We are looking for volunteer artists to support the Artistic Director and freelance practitioners in the room with creative support and assist any access requirements that may be needed.

The sessions begin on the 23rd January 2019 and run termly 6-9pm on Wednesday evenings.

Black Cab Theatre Company

Access All Areas’ community theatre company Black Cab will be performing ‘Winged’ at Hackney Showroom in February 2019.

We are looking for backstage volunteers to support the production week (11th - 16th February), including some daytimes and evenings.

Full training and an Enhanced DBS will be is provided.

Our current Treasurer has supported us for the last six years through an exciting period of growth, culminating in Access All Areas joining Arts Council England’s National Portfolio in 2018. Now living outside London, he feels after two terms it is the right time to move on.

With an aspirational business plan to deliver and at this time of increased profile, we seek a new individual to take on this important role and join our established Board.

We're currently looking for drama volunteers for Black Cab.

As a volunteer you can expect to: 

  • Work with inspiring, creative and motivated drama enthusiasts and professional actors.

  • Actively participate in drama, movement and music workshops and public performances.

  • Learn more about the drama industry from the point of view of an adult with learning disabilities.

Suitable for people with an interest or background in drama/dance and working with people with learning disabilities.
